Trinity Moving and Storage

Beware ! We have moved five times and this is the worst experience with movers. The actual charge for moving us was three times their estimate. We moved in on July 1, 2022 and Trinity but needed to store our possessions, one month free. The extra 10 days we needed cost $1,600 as they would not prorate. We cannot find numerous possessions and $400 in an envelope was missing from our kitchen counter! It was almost impossible to get to a human to talk to at Trinity, I always got voicemail, but never received a callback. The Bill of Lading listed all of our possessions. I received a copy that was illegible. A number of our boxes were opened and disturbed?? So much more to report but all similar to other reviewers. Do not use this moving company!!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $21000

This was the worst moving experience ever. My move cost double what I was quoted. Beware when they quote, they don't take your furniture measurements into consideration, they just enter 1 couch so if it's bigger than a normal couch it costs extra. There were many add ins at the end that were not disclosed up front. Many of my items were damaged when my furniture arrived. The packers were very careless, scratching my hard wood floor, setting sweaty drinks on my furniture and the list goes on. There was absolutely no professionalism. Rent a uhaul before hiring this brokerage company and their shady movers.

Moving from a house to house is a my worst nightmare, but moving from a state to another state it’s even worse. I’ve had literally anxiety attacks, because I didn’t know how we are going to move all our stuff from Missouri to Florida which is 20 hours drive. Thank God for Trinity Moving and Storage, who went above and beyond and made our moving stress free. They are really caring, professional and everything went great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Great job!

After a terrible experience with one of the big-name moving companies a few years ago, I was hesitant to hire movers again, but transitioning from Florida to Tennessee was just too big of a job for two people. Trinity Moving and Storage showed us how a moving company is actually supposed to work, though! They arrived on time and were so professional throughout the entire process. They made the move as swift and easy as possible. They helped us sort out a potentially catastrophic problem we ran into with the packing in a box of paintings and saved them from being damaged. They said they've "seen just about everything that can go wrong" so they knew what to look for and fixed it before it could. I'm so glad we gave these guys a chance. We couldn't have done it without them!

I couldn't be happier with how Trinity Moving and Storage helped me to get settled into my new home. I'm always worried about damage to my belongings when moving, but they got everything back to me in perfect condition. This was a big move which worried me but they ensured that everything went perfect. I'm certain that If I move again I'll call them again for some help. If you're looking for a fast, efficient, and kind moving company, then these guys are absolutely perfect for you. Fantastic job!

I used these guys to move a 2 bedroom apartment from Mesa to Tempe. Right from the initial booking the staff were friendly, patient, knowledgeable & helpful. I went back and forth several times both by phone and email with the moving planner before everything was finalized as it was a busy weekend for moving and there were complications with dates, etc for my part.

As we approached the moving date both the move planner and the mover were in touch with us to ensure everything went smoothly.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2100

When I was requesting a quote, their rep, Bill Rosen, was calling me every hour and he promised a speedy delivery. After I paid the first half, I never heard back from him again. Even after calling him and leaving a voicemail.

The gentleman who pickup the furniture, had the audacity to ask for tip. I acknowledge the hard work, but there is no need to rudely ask for tip when were are all facing the COVID-19 pandemic. I gave a tip, however, I deeply regret.

My furniture was picked up 10 days ago and it is still in storage in the city where I moved from. The associates/reps are not upfront with the additional costs after quote. Please, make sure you ask what are the potential additional costs in the pickup and delivery.

Lastly, I cannot stand the customer representative (Cobra Vanlines) who keeps calling me "sweetie" over the phone. It is unprofessional and disrespectful. I will not recommend Trinity to my friends and family. It has been a stressful journey.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2780

This was our second move with Trinity moving and storage (this time we moved over five hours away) and again we were 100% happy with our experience. These guys are always professional, kind, lighthearted and easy to work with. They work fast and efficiently. They are careful and thoughtful, polite and respectful. Honestly I couldn't be happier or more impressed with the professionalism of this company from the customer care over the phone to the movers on the actual day we always feel completely at ease. Will only ever move with Trinity moving and storage. 100% recommend you do as well.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3250

First mistake going with a broker instead of an actual local moving company. I had exact measurements of my 2 bedroom furniture pieces and 9 boxes and was given a binding contract by a smooth talking Justin who claimed to give me his personal # incase I needed anything. Come moving day that # was general customer service. It was a bait and switch situation. My furniture measured 286 cu ft. I was given quotes by 3 other brokerage companies in that same price range so I expected accuracy. Trinity's support team was nice and helpful, but in the end I was charged an additional $1,000+ by CR7 Moving & Storage whom Trinity contracted with. Movers originally wanted an extra $3,500 before much bickering and negotiation by an outraged me and help from the support team. My furniture was placed in smaller trucks and moved at least twice before and after being placed on an 18 wheeler truck. When I asked the movers to leave because I was not willing to pay the additional expenses, they refused. Trinity got paid $802.83 commission on a move that ended up costing me over $3,300 when originally contracted for $2,000. Very stressful day and never going that route again.

-cost more than 5K to move contents of a one bedroom space from RI to NC

-extra packaging very costly

-difficult to verify charges

-took more than 2 weeks to arrive, constant lying and excuses for delays

-had to hire another truck to offload and deliver from 16 wheeler

-several broken items including antique desk that they actually partially took apart!

-only bank check acceptable to pay upon delivery -- READ the fine print carefully

-subcontracted two teams

-lost one day when a truck broke down on the way to pick up

on and on and on...rude customer service, what more can I say? I don't believe a word of any of the positive reviews!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5000

I have used Trinity moving and storage three times now and have been impressed ever since they were recommended to me by the people who bought our house. Professional, careful, polite, on time. Competitive pricing. I've recommended them to many friends and my realtor. This last 'move' was to downsize items out of our house to consignment so was not a major move. However I had items including heavy expensive glass this is the 3rd time I have used Trinity moving and storage. I utilized their services on dressers, a heavy 8' dining table and an awkward huge 6 piece sectional. No problem. Darren and Ty were fabulous. Friendly, no attitude, respectful. Thank You Trinity moving and storage.

If I can find one word that describes this moving company it's, WOW! This moving company is definitely the real deal. Recently did a move for our 3 bedroom house. Had to empty out my apartment into apartment near the university. The movers made the transition an easy breeze! The movers quickly emptied my apartment and the movers did a good job, the movers were pros. Due to me going to school, they understand my money problems and were able to work out a deal. Trinity Moving & Storage are the people to trust.

They were the worst movers I have ever hired and up-charged their original quote by over $10k, completely destroyed over $6k in miscellaneous furniture which is somewhat to be expected. However, the vast amount of pure theft was highly troubling! A cologne collection accumulated over 15 years ended up "missing" in addition to several pairs of designer sunglasses and prescription designer reading glasses. After charging me over $20k to move a 3 bedroom house, the amount of items damaged or stolen easily equals that amount! DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER TRINITY! They will quote you a great price, then when the Foreman (aka driver) arrives will conveniently double your quote! Again, misquoting is somewhat understandable, but not by 200% and moreover, they are thieves and I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and pursuing legal action against this company! Again, read their reviews, I am one of many of their victims and only chose them based upon their low quote! I will happily provide more details to anyone interested to help ensure your family doesn't suffer from thieves and liars!

So I gave them quite a few chances to communicate and correct this but now it’s brought me here. I am so beyond disappointed with how unprofessional this company is and have been throughout this process. They have yet to show up to deliver and it’s been almost a month. I call text and email and never get a response. We were promised a price out the door but when they showed up were charged much more or they wouldn’t move it. I had to leave a few items behind as a single mom moving to be closer to family was worth it but I would never use this company not recommend this company ever again. They are a broker. My daughter started school here and she’s been sleeping on an air mattress because Thea’s individuals lied and told me delivery would be in 2-3 weeks after pickup. However I was sent an email stating I get 30 days of free storage I don’t give a crap about free storage I want my stuff here and now! They apparently tell you a bunch of lies and then sit on your stuff until another family needs to move and you can load them in the same truck. I feel like I’ve been scammed and I want to tell others so they don’t experience this frustration and pure disappointment in their lack of communication lack of follow through lack of any sort of common business sense. Stay away! And find a more reputable company where you don’t have to pay a deposit upfront as I’m reading mode and more most moving companies at least the legit ones don’t make you do. Horrible company, very disappointing! And to think I originally chose this company because a us marine contacted me from their company or so I thought. I felt he had to be another breed of special .. I was very wrong.

Today was supposed to be moving day for me. However it has become a bait and switch nightmare since dealing with this company!!
They are AWFUL!!
First of all I have been dealing with someone named Nicole from the beginning. I gave a full detailed inventory list back in October 2019 for this move which included the following:
1 queen bed with adjustable base/temperpedic mattress
2 nightstands
1 tv stand
32in t.v
1 Small loveseat with a matching chair
1full size futon
1 electric fireplace (same length as the loveseat)
1 5 tier shelf
1 round glass dinette set with 4 chairs
1 patio swing with a canopy
1 memory foam bean bag chair
1 55 in t.v
1 rolling birdcage
1 small bench
1 small deep freezer
25 medium size boxes
1 smoker grill
2 barstools
1 washer/dryer set
1 step ladder
3-4 totes
This was the original inventory list. The only thing that wasn’t on the initial list was a headboard/footboard that I recently acquired.

She gave me a quote of $1827 of which $577 was the deposit and leaving me the balance of $1250 which was to be split upon pickup and delivery. I agreed to these terms. However, now things began to get fishy when someone named Kati Douglas calls to confirm the move and inventory. Suddenly I’m being told that I never mentioned the washer/dryer and the fireplace. Being that I know that I only had the 3 appliances of course I knew I told Nicole about them because I said to her that the deep freezer was as wide as my washer but not as tall and the fireplace was the same length as the loveseat. Kati said she neede to listen to the recording and I wasn’t privy to hearing it myself. She then comes back on the line and said that I never mentioned the washer/dryer and now I had to pay an additional $305 for 90 more cubic feet. Needless to say I was pissed because I already have $577 tied into this move but now I have to pay more.. Really?
I paid it and when the moving guys showed up with a 22-26 foot box truck and not a semi of course the 446 space that was to hold these items in a straight truck was too small. Now the moving guy tells me I need to pay an additional $1387.70 for an additional 454 cubic feet bringing the space to 900 cubic feet. It’s Saturday January the 11th 2020 about 11:30 am and no one surprisingly is answering Trinity’s phone!!
I’m livid at this point! Finally some girl calls me from her home representing Trinity with a child screaming in the background saying she was helping another victim and couldn’t answer the phone. When I told her what was going on and voiced my displeasure of being victimized by Trinity Moving, she was too busy trying to explain how cubic feet works. I’m in the trucking industry for 32 years and cubic feet in a straight truck is different from a semi. I’m not trying to hear that! Point is you’re pulling a “bait and switch tactics” which is illegal and not only am I going to report it to the BBB I’m going to consult with an attorney on Monday morning January 13 2020

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1827

This is NOT a moving company, they are a broker for small moving companies. They pressure you into making a decision by saying they have a partial load near you and can share the truck. Then if you wish to cancel you are already within their 7day window. They smooth over any concerns you may have with the contract, then if you need them they don't return phone calls. You are locked into the contract and they are set up to counter any disputes you may address with your credit card company.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $4435

Wowza! Trinty Moving and Storage Co. was wonderful!! My clients hired them to move their belongings. I packed and unpacked the move. It's so nice to work with a team that takes their work seriously and does so with a positive beat. I've been a professional organizer and operated my own business for nearly 11 years. I've worked with a ton of moving companies and have seen all types of things, good and bad. Trinty Moving and Storage was, without a doubt, the most professional, efficient, and fastest moving team that I've ever seen.

This company gained my business with lies. They lied about the cost as well as who would be doing my move. The individual they sent to my home was NOT who I was told would come, they arrived in the middle of the night and without providing identification, an inventory list or even measuring my belongings, they immediately demanded an additional $900 on top of the monies already paid. The man refused to leave my home upon me asking and the company has provided no empathy or understanding of what's transpired. $1300 has been paid to the company and they claimed a refund of $300 was 40% of the paid amount. This moving company is the perfect representation of why people are hesitant to hire movers. They take advantage of single women and others who have no choice but to pay their ransom and inflated prices upon pick up and deliver. Thankful I had enough sense to not allow them to take my stuff. Now on to fight for the rest of my money back!
